Preventing Employee and Volunteer Burnout

Sustaining mission-driven work requires protecting the people behind it. Employees and volunteers often juggle high demands with limited resources, leading to exhaustion and turnover. Nina equips organizations with tools to safeguard wellbeing, sustain purpose, and foster long-term engagement, ensuring leaders and teams have the energy to keep driving impact.

Enhancing Community and Member Wellbeing

Thriving communities start with people who feel supported and resilient. Digital fatigue and technostress are increasingly common in civic and nonprofit spaces. Nina brings practical, research-based strategies to help leaders and members alike navigate overwhelm, maintain clarity, and strengthen mental health — ensuring communities stay energized and effective in their missions.

Strengthening Collaboration Across Hybrid Models

Connection across digital and in-person settings is now mission critical. Many organizations struggle to maintain cohesion when staff, volunteers, and stakeholders are spread across virtual and physical spaces. Nina helps leaders design hybrid models that foster trust, improve communication, and sustain collaboration so that workforces remain connected and effective regardless of location.

Elevating Public and Community Engagement

Inclusive engagement builds stronger, more resilient communities. In today’s diverse and digital-first world, engagement must be empathetic, accessible, and inclusive. Nina guides organizations in using digital empathy and intentional communication to better serve diverse stakeholders, ensuring public and community voices feel heard and valued.

Humanizing Digital Transformation

Technology should advance mission and people together, not drive them apart. Digital tools can accelerate civic and nonprofit impact, but when misaligned, they risk eroding trust and connection. Nina ensures technology adoption enhances human relationships and strengthens mission alignment, equipping leaders to embrace transformation while keeping communities at the center.

Hi, I’m Nina

As a child who stuttered, I learned resilience early. That path led me to appear in Bill Withers’ documentary on stuttering, and it sparked a lifelong passion for supporting how people connect and thrive at work, at home, and in leadership.

Since then, I’ve co-founded Global Digital Wellness Day, reaching over 17 million people in 64 countries, co-created the validated Digital Flourishing® framework, and authored a bestselling book on thriving in the remote work era.

This work has been featured by the United States Surgeon General, the creators of the Emmy award-winning film The Social Dilemma, and countless Fortune 500 companies.

These accomplishments are not accidents. They reflect a truth I’ve carried from the beginning: connection is the heart of resilience.

Today, I bring that belief to organizations worldwide, helping leaders and teams strengthen focus, retention, and well-being in an always-on culture.
