Meet Nina: Digital Wellness Expert
Nina Hersher is the Founder of the Digital Resilience Lab, a Lead Teacher at the Digital Wellness Institute, and author of Your Playbook for Thriving in the Remote Work Era. As a highly sought-after speaker known for her expertise in modern stress, she is also co-founder of the annual Digital Wellness Day, which was publicly endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General in 2024 and has reached over 17 million people in 64 countries.
Nina holds a specialized MSW in Digital Culture and Program Development. Her work has been featured in Forbes, The Stanford Social Innovation Review, Al Jazeera, and Voice of America. She has presented internationally on various platforms, from retreat centers and corporations to conferences like Wisdom 2.0, Spotify, Dolby, and The King Abdulaziz Center.
Nina’s pioneering work in Digital Wellness, including co-founding the Digital Flourishing® wheel and approach, which led to the creation of the first scientifically validated survey instrument to measure well-being in the digital era. She also developed the first nationally accredited Certified Digital Wellness Educator program, an educational impact partnership with the Emmy award-winning documentary The Social Dilemma and two internationally renowned universities.
Hersher sits on the advisory boards of four Digital Wellness-focused organizations, and was recently asked to serve on The Workplace Wellbeing Initiative Task Force at The Global Wellness Institute. She holds additional credentials, including Oasis in the Overwhelm Facilitator, Teen Outreach Program Facilitator, and Digital Meditation Teacher, focusing on both corporate and youth programming.

Marie McGrath serves as the Director of Education at Evolving in the Digital Age™ Consulting, assisting clients in selecting and booking the optimal keynote and workshop programs for their teams and communities.
As a Certified Digital Wellness Educator and a founding member of the only trade collective for digital wellness professionals, Marie is passionate educator, writer, and tech-life balance advocate living in Washington, D.C.
Marie also works on initiatives including TextLess Live More and Students Against Destructive Decisions, two national organizations focused on student health and safety and combatting distracted driving in the age of the attention economy. She received her M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Florida and her B.A. in English and Communication from Boston College. Whatever your digital wellness inquiry may be, Marie is here to help!
