Hi, I’m Nina

From an early age I realized that eye contact was its own kind of language.

'As a child, I had a stutter. Each time I got stuck on a word, I relied on eye contact to let people know: I’m still here, I’m trying to speak to you. That simple exchange of presence taught me how much connection happens beyond words.

As the years went on, I started noticing something shift. People’s eyes weren’t meeting mine anymore. They were dropping to the glow of their cell phones. Presence, once shared in a glance, was being fractured by constant digital interruption. With smartphones in hand, conversations broke down and attention was splintered.

What started as a childhood challenge became a professional calling: to study how technology impacts our well-being and to teach people how to reclaim focus.

Hi, I’m Nina

I had to rely on presence, observation, and empathy - qualities that shape how we connect as human beings.

That awareness guided me to individualize my counseling degree in digital culture and program development, co-create the validated strengths based Digital Flourishing® framework, and co-found Global Digital Wellness Day, which has now reached more than 17 million people in 64 countries. Along the way my work has been featured by leaders such as the United States Surgeon General and organizations including Spotify and the documentary The Social Dilemma.

As times have changed, I have changed with them. I co-created the first Certified Digital Wellness Educator program, training more than 500 educators worldwide and building a network that keeps me closely connected to what is happening on the front lines. Together with my keynote talks across industries and continents, this ongoing dialogue informs my mission of helping leaders and organizations strengthen focus, retention, and well being in an always connected world.

Like you, I am still learning wired wellness and how to thrive in a world that never stops moving

But now I rely on a proven framework of digital well-being and resilience that helps me and the people I work with navigate change, reduce burnout, and create space for what matters most.

I can’t wait to share practical strategies and inspiring stories that will help your team strengthen focus, support retention, and build well-being in an always connected world.

Here’s to a healthier relationship with technology and to your success!

In Service To Others

This path has given me the language and research to shine a light on the challenges people face with technology and to offer tools that truly make a difference. The “aha” moments when a leader, parent, or team member gains the language and strategies to solve their challenges are what fuel me the most.

I value the ripple effect of that impact as I grow as a speaker, teacher, and guide, and as a working mom and wife. Each role deepens my commitment to learning alongside every audience I serve.

In Service To Others

These days, I’m the Founder of the Digital Resilience Lab and Co-Founder of Digital Wellness Day, a global movement reaching millions each year.

I work with leaders, teams, and parents to strengthen focus, well-being, and connection by offering research-backed strategies for building healthier relationships with technology. My work includes co-creating the Digital Flourishing® model, the first scientifically validated framework to measure well-being in the digital age, and advising a network of more than ten organizations focused on mental health, digital wellness, and intentional technology use.

Add in over a hundred keynotes a year, teaching at retreats and universities, and growing programs that make digital well-being practical and actionable — it’s a busy and meaningful life I’m thankful for every day.

I realize how lucky I am to have found my calling.

And I’m honored to be your employee wellness guide in this age of digital transformation.
